3 Questions To Ask Yourself Before Buying SomethingBy Style Counsel / April 30, 2018 / Blog,Style / 0 Comments
Almost everyone can admit that they still have something in their wardrobe with the tags still on. Sometimes a spontaneous purchase can seem like a great idea, but unworn clothes in your closet is never good! Next time you are out shopping or browsing sites online, ask yourself a few questions before heading to the checkout.
Does this match my current wardrobe?
When buying something new, you don’t want to have to buy an entire outfit just so that you can wear it. You need to be able to visualize yourself wearing that item with at least two things that you already own.
Where can I wear it?
Unless you are shopping for a special occasion such as a wedding or a ball, you want to make sure that the clothes you are buying are versatile. If you can see yourself wearing a top to work, out for lunch and on an evening with the girls then buy it!!! But, if you can only see yourself wearing it on the only night out you have planned this month, then the chances are you won’t wear it again.
Is there a similar item elsewhere that is cheaper?
Shopping around is key when it comes to grabbing yourself a bargain. Open a few tabs and search for the item you are looking for on your favorite sites if you are shopping online, or browse a few stores before committing to an item, compare the prices and quality of the product. This is key when investing in an item such as a coat, but not too necessary when stocking up on basics. If you need help being a savvy shopper, then don’t worry we have your back, read more here.
