Styling Your Spring Purchases Even When The Sun Has Gone
By Style Counsel / April 27, 2018 / Blog,Style / 0 CommentsDid the two-day heatwave last week get you all excited and buying summer clothes? Yep us too. The worst thing about temperamental spring weather is the switching between winter woollies and summer dresses within the space of a week, but fear not, we have some tips on how you can wear your summer staples even when the sun has gone in.
The Strappy Dress
It can be intimidating getting your legs out when the sky is full of grey clouds, but while it might not be sunbathing weather spring temperatures have stayed, so don’t hide that dress just yet. Pop a roll neck jumper underneath your dress to add some warmth, then pair that outfit with your favorite ankle boots. Not only will you be rocking your summer dress while everyone else has retreated to their winter coats, you will be making the most out of your new purchase.
The Midi/Maxi Skirt
The midi/maxi skirt is an easier spring item to style on a cooler day. A skirt can be styled with your favorite knit, a roll neck jumper or a t-shirt and jacket, giving you plenty of freedom to wear this heatwave purchase no matter what the weather.
Sandals
Sandals are a blessing in disguise during the difficult spring weather. Not only do they allow you to hold onto to the fact that we might see the sun again, they can keep you cool during humid weather. Simply add them to your usual jeans and jumper/tee combination for an effortless yet chic outfit, there is no need to stop painting your nails and start wearing socks again!
